Description

Mr Kenneth Bates collection includes a newsletter from the Hopkinsville Housing Authority and clippings from the Kentucky New Era featuring prominent Hopkinsville African Americans. He also shared a large collage that featured Angela Davis and other Black Power activists, which once hung in Hopkinsville. Mr. Bates was a radio host for some time and shared interviews he conducted with African-American businessmen and leaders in Hopkinsville, including F.E. Whitney.
